Ex-Tipperary goalkeeper Darren Gleeson named Antrim hurling manager

Former Tipperary goalkeeper Darren Gleeson was called the Antrim hurling manager.
The Portroe club man gained two All-Ireland titles throughout his playing career, beginning between the posts from 2016.
Throughout the 2019 year, he joined the Antrim hurling set-up in a training capacity.
“Darren Gleeson has likely brought a specialist approach to our setup,” Saffrons star Neil McManus told Sky Sports in the start of the summer.
“We are better prepared than we have been previously, and he has brought his insights from becoming a former All-Ireland winner Tipperary into our changing room, and that could just be an advantage to us.”
Gleeson will be hoping to lead the Ulster county to Joe McDonagh Cup success.
Outgoing manager Neal Pedan is now the county’s first Manager of Hurling.
Meanwhile, the Saffron County’s soccer boss Lenny Harbison has been ratified for the year ahead.
