England vs Kosovo preview: Hosts can seal unbeaten decade of qualifying

England vs Kosovo
European Qualifiers Group A

St. Mary’s Stadium

England can put one foot at the Euro 2020 finals on Tuesday, and seal an unbeaten decade of qualifying.
The 3 Lions are unbeaten in qualifying for major championships since a 1-0 loss in their final World Cup 2010 qualifier under then-manager Fabio Capello to Ukraine.
Reaching championship finals is becoming somewhat of a specified for English sides because then – but that defeat at 2009 came only two years later one of England’s wildest moments lately, if they missed out on Euro 2008 entirely after a shock home defeat to Croatia in their final qualifying match at Wembley.
Anything but defeat will guarantee England expand what is currently the longest unbeaten run of qualifiers among sides to its second decade, and well ahead of their rivals Spain, who are 24 games unbeaten.
Kosovo’s recent results demonstrate that may not be a simple task, but once they came from behind to beat on Czech Republic Saturday and have not lost any of their four qualifiers to date.
The country declared independence from Serbia from 2008 but didn’t perform its first global game until 2014, also picked up in qualifying for World Cup 2018 a single purpose.
But four wins from six in their Nations League group along with the goalscoring kind of Fenerbache striker Vedat Muqiri and Werder Bremen midfielder Milot Rashica – the latter hurt for Tuesday’s match – have rocketed the country drawn in the identical pot as Gibraltar and the Faroe Islands around second spot in Group A.
Sky Sports News knows that Jadon Sancho will begin together with Marcus Rashford.
Southgate can also be expected to change both full-backs – together with Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold and Leicester’s Ben Chilwell set to come in for Kieran Trippier and Danny Rose.
Southgate stated on Monday:”We might freshen the team somewhat, that will be significant.
“We don’t need to, everybody is fit and available. We will need to be certain we get the balance right.
“We need to get the right attacking and defending profiles to make sure we win the game.”
Harry Kane introduced his 23rd, 24th and 25th England goals to his tally on Saturday to become only the 13th player in England background to score several hat-tricks to the Three Lions, and the first since Michael Owen took home his next match ball following a friendly against Colombia back in 2005.
Kane’s trio against Bulgaria moved him beyond England great Sir Geoff Hurst in the all time goalscorer ranks, and even though he still trails its chief Wayne Rooney by some 28 strikes, Southgate has backed his captain – gym – to break that record in time.
“I think it will just be all about fitness and preventing extended injuries – matters which are out of your hands – but I’d think everything is there to actually challenge it,” Southgate said.
“The reality of that is that there’s a reason that just Bobby Charlton, Gary Lineker and Wayne Rooney have there, as it’s such a tricky challenge to stay healthy, the number-one option, focused, motivated to the long period that you will need to have the ability to find the matches and to find those aims.
“But if anyone has that strength of mindset, for sure it is Harry.”
Ahead of Tuesday’s game, Kosovo director Bernard Challandes has issued an extraordinary warning to England over the”crazy” pressing they’ll face from his side.
The coach stunned seeing colleagues in his press conference on Sunday since he shouted during an overview of Kosovo strategy.
“It’s tactical pressing,” Challandes said. “At a mad match, it is go, go back, gogo, go, go, go!
“Perhaps they lose the ball and we score, because gegenpressing is not just defence, it’s preparation for a goal for us. It is, for me, mad pressing”
