Stoke claimed because they climbed off the bottom of the Championship with a victory over 27, their first home league win since the beginning of March.
Aims from strikers Tyrese Campbell and Lee Gregory (punishment ) did the damage as Nathan Jones’ side maintained back league victories for the first time as he took charge in January.

Having impressed in a battling 2-1 away win over Swansea ahead of the break, Campbell was not going to squander only his second league start of the year.
The home team could have easily doubled their lead 10 minutes later after a second quantified counter-attack.
Gregory was again the supplier, teeing up skipper Joe Allen on the playground area.
However, midfielder Allen’s strong right-foot shot was excellently saved by Bettinelli, diving alongside his left.
Goalscorer Campbell almost had a moment shortly after the half hour but Fulham somehow maintained on.
Bettinelli saved campbell’s initial close-range shot, despite the’keeper as the striker hurried down on target, slipping.
However, Campbell unleashed a shot which defender Alfie Mawson blocked on his goal-line and got to his feet.
Allen almost scored within the opening minute of the second half for Stoke but his point-blank campaign from Gregory’s cross was kept outside by Bettinelli.
Gregory had a penalty appeal turned down by referee Andy Davies after he believed defender Joe Bryan fouled him.
When Federici pulled off a good save to hands Harry Arter’s strong shot clear fulham made a good opportunity.
Three minutes later captain Tom Cairney curly a left-foot shot wide of the post because the Cottagers pushed for a leveller.
Bobby Decordova-Reid lashed a thunderous shot wide of the left vertical as the people grew to the match and looked to avoid just their second loss in five away matches.
As Fulham maintained knocking for an equaliser, reid headed straight at a thankful Federici from the cross minutes of Ivan Cavaleiro afterwards.
Bryan fired just over the bar as Scott Parker’s side looked for a way back, however, their fate was secured by Gregory’s penalty.
Sub Hogan was clear on goal but Bettinelli felled him was fortunate to just get a card to the misdemeanour.
But this has been the least of Fulham’s worries as Gregory stepped up to fire to the corner to guarantee a very important victory.
